Luís Filipe Madeira Caeiro Figo was a portuguese football player. When he played football, he played as a midfielder, and he played in many teams like: Real Madrid, Sporting of Lisboa, FC Barcelona...
In the year 2000 won the FIFA World player of the year, and now is one of the best football players in the world. He left his football carreer in 2009.

He began his carreer in 1991, in Sporting of Lisboa and he won Under-21 World Championships and Under-16 European Championships with Portugal. This ages were considered as the Golden Generation of Portugal. Then he went to FC Barcelona, that in that year was one of the best teams.
Barcelona payed 2.5 million of euros for the services of this player. Many years later, he moved to Real Madrid, and the fans of Barcelona got angry with the player and in the matches against Madrid they throwed bottles and other objects (in a match, a fan throwed a pig head).

About his personal life, Luis is married with Helen Svedin, a swedish model, and they have two daughters: Daniela and Martina. Figo was a good player, but he also is very intelligent, he talks 5 different languages.
